Keywords Need To Be Placed Carefully

There's one thing that you still see way too much of and that's keywords crammed into websites with no regard for the flow or readability or the content. You might get the search engines to notice you that way, but you'll get people clicking off your site if the content reads badly. Remember that keywords and their phrases need to be carefully placed so that they blend in. A good yardstick that seems to work is once every 100 words. Web copy needs to be written by professionals.

Keywords And Content: A Real Balancing Act

There are lots of websites I still come across that have stuffed themselves so full of keywords and keyword phrases that they don't make any sense. Of course the whole idea is to get a good keyword ranking, but you don't want to lose customers when you get to a site because you've got web copy that reads badly. There's a balancing act that needs to be maintained between keyword phrases and good copy so that you get traffic that's going to like what they see when they get to your site. That's where good copywriters come in. Here's an article I just published on the topic of seo and content.

Writing Web Content

Along with blogs, I've been writing a lot of web content lately. When writing the homepages, you need to keep in mind that the text needs to be particularly clear and concise since web surfers will only give you nine seconds before they click away unless you can hold their attention.

Journalism Experience Fits With Web Content

Back when I was a reporter freelancing for various papers back in the 1980s, I had no idea that the training and experience I was getting would lead me eventually to another freelancer career as a web content writer. Writing blogs and articles for the web is a lot like writing for a newspaper or magazine. You need to meet tight deadlines and produce a body of work that is accurate and professional.

The thing I like best about being a copywriter for the Internet is being able to use those skills that I learned as a reporter. It's a personal pleasure to consistently turn out blogs and articles that are a cut above the norm that's out there today. Take a look at the portfolio section on my site or email me through the contact section on this page and I can show you how using a professional content writer is the right choice.
